Full Journal pdf2011-03-16 House Journal Page 0491 HB 119 The following, which was advanced to third reading from the March 14, 2011, calendar (page 468), was read the third time: CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 119(EDT) "An Act relating to the procurement of supplies, services, professional services, and construction for the Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority; relating to the definition of 'own' for the economic development account; relating to the definitions of 'development project', 'plant', 'facility', and 'project' for the Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority; relating to the Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority creating subsidiaries regarding projects financed under AS 44.88.172; and providing for an effective date." Representative Tuck moved and asked unanimous consent that CSHB 119(EDT) be returned to second reading for the specific purpose of considering Amendment No. 1. There being no objection, it was so ordered. Amendment No. 1 was offered by Representative Tuck: Page 1, lines 1 - 2 (title amendment): Delete "the procurement of supplies, services, professional services, and construction for" Insert "procurement by" 2011-03-16 House Journal Page 0492 Page 1, line 10: Delete the first occurrence of "The" Insert "Except as provided in (k) of this section, the [THE]" Page 2, following line 11: Insert a new bill section to read: "* Sec. 2. AS 36.30.015 is amended by adding a new subsection to read: (k) This chapter applies to projects in which the Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority owns or intends to own a 50 percent or greater interest, including ownership of a 50 percent or greater interest of the shares of a corporation or membership in a limited liability company that owns the project." Renumber the following bill sections accordingly. Representative Tuck moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 1 be adopted. There was objection. The Speaker stated that, without objection, CSHB 119(EDT) would be held in second reading, with Amendment No. 1 moved and pending, to the March 18, 2011, calendar.
